It may seem as if we as a nation are in a terrible financial situation that we will struggle to get out of, and you are probably right, but if you look back at history you will see that we have been here before and on more than one occasion, so take some solace from the fact that recovery is on the distant horizon and prosperous times will come again. In the meantime though, it’s about taking care of business and that means getting rid of that which puts us most at risk; and on this occasion, it is debt.
